Overcome Difficulties during Pandemic with Diversified Financial Solutions
The global outbreak of COVID-19 has dramatically changed the global economy and posed huge challenges to the financial industry. Monetary and fiscal policies continuously intensified the volatility in financial markets. Facing these opportunities and challenges, the financial industry needs to reinvent itself and accelerate its upgrade to cope with and adapt to new scenarios and business forms. Huawei works closely with customers and partners to help overcome business challenges in the long run and effectively limit the negative impacts. They received diversified purchases solutions, financing solutions, foreign exchange solutions, and other financial solutions. Integration of technologies such as 5G, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and the Internet of Things (IoT) with financial services will further stimulate new business scenarios and drive the rapid development of the finance industry.
New Service Scenarios and Business Models in a Digital World with Everything Intelligently Connected
Looking to the future of the banking industry, Dr. Barbara Kolm, Director of the Austrian Economics Center and Vice President of the General Council of the Oesterreichische Nationalbank, pointed out that "Consumers' expectations are high, and there is a demand for quick and more personalized financial services. As the Internet of Things (IoT) and the trend towards real-time electronic transactions are progressing into the banking sector, safe technologies such as reliable identity systems will be crucial. While cash might not fall out of use anytime, central bank digital currencies could be introduced as a convenient parallel alternative."
As the consumers move online, banks will have to follow. Łukasz Januszewski, Board Member Markets/IB, Raiffeisen Bank International AG, acknowledges that the digital transformation is inevitable and necessary: "The world is definitely going digital, and it is important to stay resilient, have technology and partners who can support you in that time. On the other hand, we need to have this adaptiveness and remember that whatever is in data, people are running the business, and we should consider their needs. And last but not least, there are always business opportunities to make even in such a challenging situation."

By 2025, Huawei predicts that more than 100 billion devices will be connected. Besides, technology development will also have a huge impact on financial services and will incubate new service scenarios and business models. During an opening speech at the forum, Aykan Zhanglei, Huawei Chief Financial Officer in CEE&Nordic Region, stated: "Mobile devices become the best platform for customer innovation and internal collaboration, new service models will emerge. Research shows that global un-touch payment has increased by over 40% in the past year and a half, which includes online consumption and mobile money transfer."

Huawei's Vision and Solution for the Financial Enterprises
Ronald Wright Raffensperger, Chief Digital Transformation Officer of FSI Huawei, thinks that financial institutions can now achieve robust growth because of digital technologies. "The best way forward for financial institutions is to fully embrace cloud-native, build optimal infrastructure through technological innovation, accelerate digital and intelligent convergence, and build an agile digital platform. Second, deepen industry scenarios, accelerate trusted data transfer through technology enablement scenarios, unlock data value, and facilitate industry and inclusive finance. Third, aggregate software as a service (SaaS), build an open ecosystem for all scenarios, and enable scenario-based financial services," he explained.
Ten years ago, Huawei officially launched its business in the Fintech industry. Till today, Huawei has served more than 2,000 financial customers in more than 60 countries and regions, including 47 of the world's top 100 banks.
